Roald Dahl

Happy belated birthday to Roald Dahl!.

Roald Dahl was born on the 13 September 1916. He was a British novelist, short story writer, poet, screenwriter, and fighter pilot. His books have sold more than 250 million copies worldwide.

The following are some cute facts about Roald Dahl which also served as an inspiration for some of his books. Can you guess which?

1. He used to mix delicious healthy drinks for his children and call them witches’ potions.

2. He was a chocolate encyclopedia. He knew everything there was to know about it. At school he and his friends were sometimes used as chocolate testers by Cadbury. Lucky!

3. When his son had an accident, he invented a machine to drain liquid from the brain. His son recovered without needing the machine. But it was later used to treat 2000 children.

Just like me he was not a big fan of cats. But he liked dogs, birds and goats.
